It's not often I venture away from my skins from Exodi but I went shopping the other day and found this.

This is L.Fauna's skin Lapine Pale 2 Midnight. It comes in a variety of different skin tones with an abundance of different makeup options ranging from dark and smokey to shimmery and glittery. Each has a delicate feminine touch to it, making the wearer look, let's face it, cute as a button.

Definitely a good buy.

A little bit of festive clothing...

It's coming up to Christmas, are you ready for it?

The start of December signifies a very big change in all of the shops in Second Life - the Christmas sales! And, of course, all of the designers start making clothes and outfits specifically for Christmas to bring us all a little bit of festive cheer.

So let me share with you a couple of things I found around the stores that are perfect for the wintery weather this Christmas.

First let me show you the new Christmas items from Exodi. Specifically for this Christmas, Ms Beck has created some lovely little items for sale. In the picture above you can see the Exodi Unisex Mini Santa Hat and Melted Snowman cookie. These two can brighten up any outfit, giving a festive feeling with additional cute factor.

Next is what we will call Winter Outfit Number 1.

This outfit consists of a couple of my favourite wintery items from Fishy Strawberry and Surf Couture.

The Top - Fishy Strawberry Oversized Cardigan Brown

This cosy looking top is one of the latest releases from Fishy Strawberry. Coming in a variety of colours, the majority of the shape is made up with prim attachments, coming to a total of ten. The quality of the texturing itself is good and the prims run smoothly into the rest of the texture, making for a very professional looking cardigan.

The size of the cardigan makes up for the fact that you can't fit anything else on - unless you wear trousers on the underpants layer! Although wearing nothing else you still look cosy and warm, with just that little hint of sexy.

The Boots - Surf Couture Elsa Boots Stjordal

These boots are now one of my favourite pairs. Coming from Surf Couture, this particular pair came as a special from the Fifty Linden Friday group. However, instore these boots are available in a wide range of colours at a very reasonable price.

The quality of the boots is outstanding, with the ability to change the colour of two sections of the leg warmer once bought. They have a realistic leather and wool appearance and the prims fit nicely together.

Definitely a buy not to be missed. Especially right now, in which Surf Couture have currently got a Christmas sale on!

And now onto Christmas Outfit 2. This outfit is made up of items from Emjay, Argrace and Kitties Lair - a store I have just discovered with some lovely shoes.

The Top - Argrace "Joy" Black Ladies

This coat is one of the cosiest I have seen on Second Life so far. With a lovely puffer effect and a gorgeous fluffy hood, this is the ultimate Christmas coat. It comes in a variety of colours with a variety of different options for wearing, including different attachments for the hood and a long and short coat option.

You also get the option of wearing the sweater - that you can see in the picture above - or not. If you decide you'd like to wear the sweater, it is built into the jacket layer with the rest of the coat. However, this means that other tops can fit easily into this outfit to add a different flare or taste to the whole outfit.

The Trousers - Emjay Super Dark Jeans

Made to a very high quality, these jeans come as a variation of many of the Emjay jeans. They have additional prim cuffs which fit smoothly into the rest of the texture and leave a very smooth, professional appearance.

As you can see, there are a number of ripped sections within the jeans, leaving a peek of sneaky flesh showing through from underneath. A lovely, high quality piece of clothing suitable to wear with any outfit.

The Boots - Kitties Lair Boots Venice Black

Stunningly elegant and well textured, these boots add a little finesse to the entire outfit, with realistic leather texturing and lovely small tassles hanging from the back of the calves.

This is the first pair of shoes that I have bought from Kitties Lair and I must say I'm impressed by what I see. The texturing and prim work is professional and good looking with the prims lined up nicely so that the two textures blend smoothly into one another.

The Accessory - Amerie Umbrella Black

Last but most certainly not least is this lovely umbrella that I picked up from Amerie. The shop was a chance find, but I'm glad I did. The texturing itself is lovely, very detailed with a nice delicate feel to it, making this umbrella most definitely a ladies umbrella.

Adding to the elgant feeling of the boots, this umbrella is ideal for rainy days and emphasises the feeling of winter, giving your avatar something to protect them from the rain or snow!

Exodi Sneaky Peek

Whether you know about the much awaited release of the newest Exodi skin or not, you should understand that this is an exciting prospect. All of the Exodi skins up to now have been of a top quality, with some beautiful makeup and shading, making an avatar look stunning.

Well, the Sienna skin is no disappointment! Due to be released on the 5th November, this skin is available in four different skin tones, with the biggest range of makeups I have seen. Each tone and makeup option has a cleavage enhance and freckles option, along with the option to have light or dark eyebrows. Altogether, this has got to be one of the most option packed skin that I have seen up to date in Second Life.

Above you can see a sample of each of the four different skin tones, each with individual makeups. The muscles definition and shadowing of this skin is delicate and toned, leaving the shape of the avatar looking slim and elegant. The makeup options themselves range from dazzling colourful eye shadows to wonderfully dark, smokey cheeks and lips.

I love the new option for cleavage, it's stunning and should get all the guys running in flocks! Suitable for tight tops and lingerie, it's perfect for showing off the female body and flaunting what you've virtually got. The freckles available in another option are delicately placed around the nose and add a feeling of innocence to each variation of skin.

A beautiful product and something that Ryker Beck should be very proud of.

However, this is not the only thing that Exodi will be releasing!

There is a new line of eyes coming out too!

Coming in five different colours, the 'Look into My' Eyes are available in Natural (featured here) and also in Tropico. Each of the different colour options in the packs comes with the options of veins or no veins and the veins option is scarily real. The images seen above show a copy of the veined eyes, and the thing that really hits me whilst looking at them is the realistic shine and shading on the left hand corner.

Definitely worth investing in to go along with your new skin!

New Furry!

Ok, so I have neglected my furry posting for a while so I thought I would show you the latest furry avatar that I've found and one of my firm favourites.

May I introduce to you, the Ringtail by the same people who made the Kani - shown earlier in the blog funnily enough.

I love this avatar. Going at a reasonable price of 800L, it comes in a variety of colours ranging from neutral tones to the more wacky bright colours. The texturing is of a lovely high quality, with a feel of shiny fur and lovely shiny eyes. The eyes are something that I am going to point out in particular as they are made seperately from the rest of the skin, with a lovely glossy three dimensional feel to them, they are fully customizable and give the user the option to change any colour of any part of the eye.

There are some lovely little additional textures on this avatar, coming with a lovely feathered fur detail on the heel and end of the tail, which adds a little shape and more fluffiness to the overall avatar.

The only problem that I did have - though this is a personal problem for me and does not deduct anything from the avatar itself - is that the tail is non flexi and moves a little awkwardly with the rest of the avatar as the hips wiggle. However, the avatar is flexible enough to fit with other tails, should you wish to find one, and the texturing of the default tail itself is very detailed, leaving this down to personal preference rather than lack of quality on the designers behalf.

The avatar does come with a very small tuft of hair - not shown in the picture - which tells the user to go and buy some proper hair. However, even without any hair I feel this avatar looks very cute and adorable, with lovely smooth joins between texture and prim.

Exodi: A Quest for Flesh

So, autumn has set in and Halloween is nearly here! Are you ready for it? If not, why not?

Well, to get you started on your costumes for the day let me show you the latest hunt from Ryker Beck at Exodi - A Quest for Flesh. Based entirely around Halloween, this hunt is based around a specially made village, with a number of small little cottages and numerous places for Halloween style pictures.

And, of course, there are the prizes. In total there are 23 possible prizes from this hunt, featuring eight male skins, nine female skins and six pairs of eyes! Each of these prizes is specially made up for Halloween and will be placed in the Exodi store after the hunt ends on October 26th, until the start of November - except for the Doc Manhatten.

Being the lovely blogger that I am, I thought I would give you a sneaky peek at the lovely sim and, of course, some of the prizes - namely the female ones.

The Prizes

The first set that I would like to show to you contains the Vamped Skins and the Bloodshot Eyes, both available for female and male avatars.

The skin is deliciously pale, with the luscious blood red lipstick being perfect for that of a vampire. The additional touch of a drop of blood running down the chin of the female skin - on the male version the blood splatter is slightly different and adds a little more variation - is a lovely touch and adds a slight touch of gore whilst still being oddly glamourous in that vampiric way.

The eyes are a matching deep red, with a certain deep feel to them. This skin can also be nicely paired with the Trapped in Amber to give that glowing, straight from Twilight, look. DO you want to be a Cullen? These eyes are perfect for you.

The second set, and personally my favourite, is the Death Becomes skin paired with the Bewitched eyes - which I haven't actually shown in this picture so you'll just have to imagine them!

The skin is available for both female and male, and comes in all of the colours under the Nazareth and Lily skin sets. The beauty of this skin comes from the makeup, with some lovely powdering really highlighting the cheek bones, and the lovely dark eye makeup with a gothic teardrop underneath both eyes. And I love the black lipstick - it's not often I go for the really dark lipstick but this really adds to the feel of the set.

The eyes are a really deep purple colour, with a lovely light shining in them, giving the wearer a distant but deep look - as though thoughtful. A lovely pairing with any black or white hair, which provides a lovely contrast to the dark colours of the skin.

This skin is perhaps one of the more 'freaky' of the prizes, featuring split eyes and wide gaping gashes and holes in the back and front. The pale tone of the skin gives a sickly appearance and really adds to the overall feel of the skin. The texturing is of a very high quality and this one would definitely be an effective costume to be worn on Halloween.

The eyes I have paired with it are Made of Glass, which are pale white and almost glowing - giving the impression of there being no iris there and further adding to the spooky appearance of the whole outfit.

One of the prettiest sets from the prizes is the Doc Manhatten set. Available for both men and women, this set of skin and eyes both seem to have a glowing quality, giving the wearer a mythological and insightful appearance. I love the eyes, which are specifically made for this outfit and have a lovely pearly appearance with no hint of an iris or pupil. This adds a slight sppoky touch to the outfit, yet it still remains elegant with that lovely pearly tone coming through.

Last, but definitely not least, is the Burn Victim skin along with the Melted eyes.

I think this is another slightly freaky one. The skin is available for both men and women and portrays the human body without any skin, allowing the muscles to be shown and featuring a bright red colour. The outline of the muscles and sinewy texturing is wonderfully detailed and definitely effective.

The Melted eyes, in a similar way to the Doc Manhatten eyes, seem to have no pupil or iris, this time seeming to have been melted away in the fire. As a result, there is a soft, pink/orange colour in the centre of the eyes, adding a little variation and contrast to the Doc Manhatten ones, and giving that effect of fire in the eyes.

The Faun

Ready for my very first post on a new hybrid avatar that I'm trying out?

May I present to you the faun avatar.

This one, specifically, is from Titania's Court and made by Riann Maltese. This is the first time I have encountered Riann's work and I am very glad that I have.

The avatar pack comes with a faun shape, the legs, the ears, the tail and the horns and is available in a number of different colours. Out of the possible complete outfit, the image above is missing the horns, ears and the additional shape, making way for the outfit which I shall explain about later.

The texturing and prim work of this avatar is stunning. I love the smooth transition between the human skin and the fur, then going smoothly on to the transition between texture and prim. There are some lovely little 'fluff' details on the knees and ankles and the tail has a delightful little wag every random moment - or when someone clicks on it.

Although I did not use the shape provided with the avatar, my original shape fitted nicely - though the legs needed shortening to level out the proportions. The shape provided features a short, curvy womanly body and is a good shape to compliment the prims. The horns are the classic goats horns, curving back over the head in a graceful dark grey arch and the ears are furry and project out sideways from the head in a cute manner.

On to the outfit - which is the best I have seen for a faun and has been made to a very high standard. Coming from Illusions, the Hedera Silks set comes with an abundant amount of options, giving you a top and bottom, along with additional prims that could almost cover the entire body in vines. As this avatar already has the additional leg prims and textures some of the prims and textures within this outfit are rendered as useless. However, it is still definitely a good buy.

The prims fit nicely around the shape of the body, with the head prim leaving a good amount of space in order to fit most hair styles under it easily. The loin cloth has two different options, giving the user the ability to select which body part it is attached to, in order to make room for any other additional prims.

The texturing, again is of a very high quality, giving a nice smooth appearance of leather and allowing the outfit to look suitably down to earth and yet beautiful at the same time.

Definitely a good buy for any fauns out there!

Fishy Strawberry's New Fall Items

Now autumn is coming up, I thought I'd invest in some new clothes for the cold weather.

And so, I came across some of the new stuff that has been recently released by Fae Eriksen at Fishy Strawberry.

Outfit One - Lucille Oh'Doll Dress

As soon as I tried this dress on I fell in love with it. Depending on how you wear and what you wear it with this dress can look incredible cute, or deliciously sexy. The shape of the top section doesn't leave much to the imagination, being cheekily low cut and with an open back. However, you find that it's not too much, just cheeky enough but not too far. The large poofy skirt sections compliments this to a tee, giving some nice shape to the dress and also introducing the cute element to the outfit.

The texturing is of a very high standard, with no apparent seams or glitches and a nice smooth join between the main texture and the prim section. There is a nice little detail on the shoulders which shows the straps falling slightly off the shoulder and hanging around the upper arm. This adds to the loose, light feel and texture that the rest of the texture puts across, showing no signs of any stretch or tight fitting.

Outfit Two - Equinox Jeans

The second new item from Fishy Strawberry that I am going to show you are these lovely new jeans, Equinox. Coming in a variety of colours, charcoal shown above, they go with pretty much any outfit and have a crumpled, relaxed looking prim at the bottom which fits nicely over flat shoes.

The texturing is, again, to a very high standard with some lovely shading around the bum and a smooth join between the main texture and prims.

Definitely the perfect jeans for a casual day out.

Taboo Paris Rose Edition Shoes

One of my latest discovered shops is Taboo, owned by Siam Quan. When I went there the other day it was only meant to be a quick fly by visit, but I ended up spending!

May I introduce to you the Paris Rose Special Edition shoes.

This is the only pair of shoes I have seen in Second Life that are like this. Controlled by HUD, the wearer is giving the option to alter the skin tone, turn sound on and off and resize the shoe. There is also the option to choose between a long shoe which goes higher up the leg, or a shorter shoe where the plants concentrate around the ankle.

The texturing is of a high standard and, from my experience, the tinting is easily done. In fact, for me, these were impossibly easy to tint to my skin tone - I just wore them (matching up to Exodi Lily Dove) and they matched perfectly.

The only slight disadvantage is the lack of ability to change the colour of the nails, however the original colour is a neutral tone, allowing it to match with any outfit.

These shoes are pretty, unique and look natural, whilst still being seriously stylish. Love them.

Note: Sorry I've just found the feature to alter the colour of the toe nails and rings!

Baiastice Fashion

One of my favourite high quality shops is Baiastice, and recently I decided to go around and find my favourite items from their collection for you to see!

Outfit One: Baiastice Glitter Top and Culotte

This outfit is perfect for late night clubbing or just basically looking sexy. The top is available in a number of different colours and, no matter how lacey it is, covers your dignity nicely whilst still keeping that sexy feel. The texturing is of a high quality and it is a good top to go with both trousers or, as seen here, very short shorts! Definitely something to wear when dressing to impress.

The Culotte shorts in silver are some of the shortest shorts I have seen on SL - though I'm sure there are shorter out there - and I like the slightly shiny texture to them. The shine gives them a more fashionable look, appearing to be more suitable for nights out than casual wear during the day. Coming in variety of different colours I would say these are definitely shorts for those big nights out.

Can I take a moment to mention the shoes in both of these pictures. I love these shoes. Available in an abundance of different colours, the Crystal shoe is nicely detailed and intricate, with a lovely jewel detail on the heel. The heel itself looks delicate and pretty, as though you would snap it if you put too much weight on it. The ultimate glass slipper.

Outfit Two: Soraya Shirt and Piper Jeans

I don't usually go for big floatey tops within SL, but this one I like. The Soraya top is, again, available in several different colours and is one of my more prim heavy tops. The main texture itself is a good quality with no apparent seams and a good join between the main texture and the textured prims. There are two options for the lower section of the top: one shorter and one flexi and longer. The one that you can see in the image above is the flexi version and, in my opinion, is the best looking version. However, one problem I did find with this top is that the prim sometimes went through the body and exposed skin.

The Piper Jeans are a unique style of jean, with a unique pattern and cut to them. I love the additional prim at the bottom to finish the leg off, and these are the only jeans I have found that fit nicely inside boots, prim and all!

The texturing is of a good quality with no apparent seams and a nice intricate pattern around the top of the leg. These trousers are funky, and unique enough to make any outfit special.

A Summer of Surf Couture

One of my favourite places to shop recently is Surf Couture, the shop dedicated to beachwear that is ideal for the summer and suitable for parties, holidays or just general summer activities.

May I introduce to you two of their newest items of clothing, the top, Colleen, and the Dock Dress.

Surf Couture Colleen Palm

This top is delightfully casual, with a lovely link between the prims and texture. With a plain and simple texture, there are small, intricate details, such as the drawstring around the top of the lower prim and the small flowered detail at the bottom of the straps. These small details add interest and a feeling of a finer quality product.

Surf Couture Dock Dress Yellow

Again, this is a simple summer dress with some lovely detailing on the texture. The link between the prim section and the texture is mostly smooth, with the small texturing hard to match up to the other leaving for a slight bumpy feel if the prim is not alligned properly. However, the prim section does add a nice shape to the bottom of the dress itself, giving it more dimension and the slight mistmatching of the texture is not a big problem.

DYN New Summer Outfits

Looking for some funky, different and maybe slightly retro summer looks? Look what I have found for you.

From DYN may I present two of their new items, the Cherry Peplum Dress and Papillon Tunic.

DYN Cherry Peplum Dress

I love this dresses slightly retro yet up to date summery look. Although it breaks away from the usual summery colours, it still has that summer feel and compliments the shape of the avatar nicely with an added extra prim giving it a little more shape.

The texturing is of a high standard with no apparent glitches or seams and the prim skirt section flows nicely into the rest of the texture so that the difference between the two is not apparent. This dress would be suitable for a variety of occasions, including casual, beach or even parties. With that sexy retro dress and your legs out on show, you'll look gorgeous whichever occassion you choose to go to.

DYN Papillon Tunic

The slanted, assymetrical look of this top makes it very unique and something I haven't seen before in Second Life. The patterning on it is bright and has a sharp contrast against the black of the material, making it look almost oriental.

The capri jeans are displayed and come with the top, an important addition the outfit, I feel, as they compliment the shape of the top. With the top being so long and ending so far down the avatars body, the shorter length of the jeans balances it out a little and keeps that summery look.

Again, as is common in the DYN clothing, the texturing is of a high quality. There was one seam that I found between the top and lower sections of the top, which can mainly be seen within the patterning, but it is nothing major and does not need moaning about.

Introducing the fur.

May I present to you the very first post dedicated to furries on Second Thought!

As this is the very first post, I thought I'd start off by showing you a few of my very favourite outfits for my furry.

The Avatar - Natural Kani White Female

The very first thing that I think I should tell you about is the avatar that is featured in each of these pictures. Called a Kani, they come in a variety of different colours, including some subtle shades and also some more outrageous, funky looking ones.

The one advantage of this avatar is that it comes with few attachments, allowing for more customization and individuality in each seperate one. It also comes with the ability to alter the colour of the eyes and change the positions of the ears, with five different set positions. As a bonus for photo opportunities and in general, there is also the option to change the shape of the eyes and to add a slight smile around the mouth.

The one thing that I should point about this avatar is that it is very small - something you should consider if you do not want such a small shape.

Outfit One - The Summer Kani

This summery outfit consists of clothing with no prims, making it easily customizable for a furry avatar whilst still looking good.

The top, Le Plage Tee in Sunshine from Surf Couture, is highly detailed with some lovely loose creases along the stomach section. This gives the material a light feeling and presents a very summery look, with the neck of the top showing off the chest area - and in this case the tattoo - and complimenting the shape of the avatar.

When it comes to bottoms on furry avatars, shorts are most likely to look the best as there is no risk of the texture running into the prims or looking strange without prim cuffs at the bottom. The shorts you can see here are Hot Blue from Sweetest Goodbye, and come in a nice dark denim colour - although there are many other colour options in the store - presenting a nice contrast against the white fur of the Kani and adding that much needed variation of colour.

The hair that you can see here is one of my personal favourites - Nico in White from Maitreya. I love the way it covers the one eye and gives a slightly moody look. As the Kani's head is larger than the average human avatars, some fiddling and resizing is needed in order for it to fit well. However, when it came round to that it was very easy to do and didn't take long at all.

Outfit Two - The Sophisticate Kani

This outfit is a big favourite of mine when it comes to my furry. It is highly fashionable and detailed, whilst having a few prim additions thrown in there to bulk it out a little.

The outfit, called Buone Vacanze - Mirtilli from Gisazi Armidi, is sold as a whole and comes in a variety of colours. The texturing is of a high quality, my particular favourite part being the slight stretched creases along the chest area and down towards the first button, giving an emphasis on the shape of the avatar and making it seem all the more curvy.

The prim additions are also made to a high quality with the textures mixing well into the others. The collar, as you can see, is not symmetrical and instead seems to be slightly off skew. This detail is a very good idea in my opinion, as it adds more realism to the outfit.

The only part of this outfit that I had to fiddle with was the belt. Coming in three different size options - large, medium and small - it fitted perfectly on the first try. However, as is common with quite a few items of clothing, it clashed with the tail and I was forced to choose between tail or belt. Therefore I had to spend a couple of minutes changing the attachment of the belt so that I could wear both at the same time. An easy task if you know what you are doing with prim attachments, but otherwise, you may have to choose between belt or tail.

The hair in this image is from a lovely shop called Sky Everett Designs, in which you can find many similar designs aimed mainly at Victorian hairstyles to go with big ball gowns. This hair, Quiet Seduction, was one of the more subtle hairstyles and compliments the avatar nicely with wisps of hair floating infront of the eyes. Again, this hair will need to be resized and fiddled with slightly in order to fit the Kani avatar, however this is an easy process and doesn't take long.

Outfit Three - Casual Kani

Going for a more casual look? This outfit, particularly the shorts, gives a relaxed casual feel for the wearer.

The top, Ribbon Tank - Laybug from Elephant Outfitters, is simple and effective with a small bow attachment for the right strap. Althought relatively simple, and slightly less detailed than the previous outfits, the top gives a bright, funky look with it's contrasting colours and stripes.

Although I have shown these shorts before in the human clothes section, I have since discovered that they are incredibly furry friendly, with the belt, pockets and cuffs fitting nicely onto the Kani avatar without dislodging anything else. The high quality texture and funky appearance, along with the fact that I didn't have to fiddle with any of the prims at all, makes the Cargo Shorts from Malt a winner for me.

Fourth Outfit - Pretty Kani

OK, so I know I have shown this dress before as well, but it is one of the only dresses that I have found that is tail and furry friendly. The Flexi Silk Organza Dress from Armidi is beautifully textured with some lovely details around the chest area.

The skirt prim itself joins nicely up to the rest of the texture with a well placed ribbon around the lower chest which smoothes the transition between texture and prim. There is a lovely outer lace section which provides some more 'poof' and gives the dress a more dainty feel.

The dress as a whole is just the right length to make the Kani look incredibly cute, emphasising just how small the avatar is and adding a feel of youth.

Definitely a good one for parties.

Exodi Skin Release - Lily

I swear every time Ryker Beck from Exodi brings out a new product I find another thing to obsess over.

This time it's her new female skin Lily.

Coming in four different skin tones - Dove, Cedar,Cherry and Elm - Lily is made up of the same high quality texturing as the rest of the skins from Exodi featuring particularly realistic glossy lips and beautiful makeup options.

Speaking of the makeup, there is now an additional option within the skins in which the wearer gets to choose between the full makeup or a faded option. I think this is a brilliant idea as quite often I find that a more understated look is suitable for an occasion and this is not a very easy thing to find within skins. The skin you can see in the pictures featured in this article is Lily Dove, featuring a makeup option of Blame. This offers a smokey eyed look, making the wearer look dramatic and stylish and widening the eyes.

Perhaps one of my favourite features about this skin - along with the smoothness and nice shading - is the collarbone detailing. Yes, as strange as that may sound the detailing of the collarbone on this skin is very realistic and gives a striking appearance.

The detailing on the back is just as high a quality. With detailing down the spine and highlights on the shoulder blades and upperlegs, the female shape - no matter what shape - is portrayed to be womanly and curvy, giving a gentle smoothness to it.

For a beautiful, womanly look with a mixture of dramatic or more subtle makeup options this is definitely the skin to go for - and my new firm favourite.

Earlier on in the blog I showed you the latest releases from Malt. Well, I thought it might be nice for you to see a little more of their produce, and some of my favourite outfits.

Malt - Rust Rah Rah

This lovely rah rah dress comes in a variety of colours and contains additional bangles. The texturing is of a high quality with no noticeable seams and a smooth transition between the texture and prim.

Overall the dress gives a slightly retro, yet very modern look to the wearer.

Malt - Diamonique Top and Recycled Jeans

Giving an understated, elegant look, this top is textured nicely with a nice shape. The only slight problem that I found was that I needed to resize the top a little - as it was originally a little too puffy for my tastes. However, it was easy to resize and looked brilliant once I had got it to my preferred size.

The Recycled Jeans are very detailed, with a realistic worn denim appearance. They come with the option of full length skinny jeans or three quarter length capris. The prims at the bottom match in nicely with the rest of the texture, with no apparent seams. These jeans can be worn for both casual or more dressy outfits.

Together these two items give the wearer a sexy, stylish look - fit for any club.

Malt - Madwin Top and Cargo Shorts

The Madwin Top comes with two layers. The jacket layer, which you can see in the picture above, comes in a variety of colours with a highly detailed floral pattern printed in black. There is also some nice shadowing of the same pattern underneath this original dark patterning. The shirt layer, which is presented as an under top, is black with exactly the same pattern, only this time in a light colour. The sleeves are longer, the top taking on a more traditional tshirt shape.

The top itself has no prims, consisting only of a high quality texture with a slight seam around the edges - something that is not enough to bother with.

The shorts are now officially my favourite shorts. Coming in a variety of dark colours, with three different sizes of belt and pockets on the front and side of the leg, they are cool and casual. They are detailed, with creases adding to the feel of slight bagginess and the sides of the legs have a small detailed stitching, covering any seams and providing a smooth transition between the two sides.

Fishy Strawberry New Summer Outfit

As the days are getting warmer, so the number of summer releases is increasing. Here may I present to you a few of Fishy Strawberry's new summer releases.

The Skin - *Fi-ST* Skin Daphne Cappucino Bronze Brown

First of all let's talk about the skin. The Daphne skin is a new release from Fishy Strawberry, one that I covered in a previous blog post. However, this skin tone is a completely new one for me, one that I've never tried before. Again the texturing is nicely detailed and looks smooth and young. The makeup is warm and compliments the tanned look of the skin, leading to a sunkissed, casual holiday look.

The Top - *Fishy Strawberry* Ginsberg Halterneck Blue

This top is one of the very latest releases. They come in several different colours with a very detailed texture. The colours are bright and summery and it will brighten up any outfit. There are two prim attachments included in the top, one around the neck and the main puffy section of the top. These are also well textured and run smoothly into the rest of the outfit. *

However overall this top is pretty, summery and a good buy.

The Shorts - *Fishy Strawberry* Cargo Shorts Brown

Theses shorts are also a relatively new release for summer. It's nice to see some shorts that a little more on the casual side for summer. Again, the texturing is of a high quality, with a nice creased detailing down the front of the leg and neatly matched up prim legs, which add body and shape to them. The prims themselves give more of a feel of cargo shorts than the texture, featuring strings and folds around the bottom of the leg. The prims on these shorts are also quite puffy and slightly big but this compliments the style of the shorts and looks good.

The Bracelets - *Fishy Strawberry* Istanbul Bangles

Newly released by popular demand, the Istanbul bangles are beautiful. Consisting of six different bangles, the set sits up the lower half of your arm, adding a little ethnicity to any outfit. The texturing itself is very detailed, with the bottom bangle featuring a small complicated pattern in the metal, whilst the others seem to be made of other variations of metal or wood.

Definitely a good accessory for a summer outfit.

Pididdle Pitseleh Pencil Dress

It is my honour to present to you Pididdle's latest release, the Pitseleh pencil Dress.

This sleek pencil dress comes in a variety of colours, including creme, grey and a light pink. With thin shoulder strap and a nice additional detail on the chest area, the dress flows down to jut above the knees, allowing the wearer to have an elegant professional appearance.

The texturing is of a good quality, with a slightly visible joint between top and skirt in which the corsetted texture of the top seems to stop slightly abruptly. The skirt is actually a traditional default skirt, however, considering the shape and feel of the outfit itself, the slightly puffy appearance that this gives the skirt section is suitable and fits in well.

The additional arm piece is lovely. Sold seperately, it fits well around the top of the arm with black feathers splaying out to the side. This little additional detail adds a lot of elegance to the outfit, giving it a touch of glamour and definitely spicing up the outfit.

Without the arm piece this outfit is simple, sophisticated and sleek. With it, you'd be at home in any ballroom.

Novi

Recently I came across a new designer that I had not heard of before, with a new high quality clothing line. May I present to you the works from Novi.

Each of the pieces from Novi is hand drawn and of a good quality, with all of the prims fitting well into the texture. A little fiddling needed to be done when I tried on each of the outfits, but that is to be expected from any designer.

Novi: The Tempest

The Tempest is a beautiful black dress, suitable for any ball or formal party. It comes with the option of having either a small straight skirt section or a ball gown - the ball gown seen in the picture above and the straight in the main picture.

The texture itself consists of some fine detail around the chest and waist area, seemingly pulling the waist in and highlighting the female figure. The skirt prims are a nice length, not seeming too long - as many do - and yet touching the floor and hiding the shoes.

The dress comes with the option of gloves, which give a distinctly sophisticated, almost regal appearance. This, along with the smooth elegance of the dress itself, gives the wearer a simple, beautiful, yet elegant look.

Novi: The Ricky

This pretty, short strapless dress is one of Novi's newest releases and comes with a highly detailed texture. The texture is tight fitting with suitable creases to show the shape of the wearer's body along with two straight lines travelling down the front and enhancing the waist. There is an optional prim fold over around the very top, giving body and shape into the actual outfit and adding a bit of interest.

The prim skirt comes in three different sections, allowing for any pose without the risk of any exposed limbs. The texture on the prims is, again, of a high quality and fits in well with the rest of the main texture.

Novi: The Kirsten

Another of the designer's new releases is The Kirsten, a thin strapped short dress with a poof skirt.

Again the texture is very detailed, with buttons travelling all the way down the front of the outfit, with a slight ruffling effect on either side. There is an optional lace ruffle that can be worn around the top of the chest area in order to give some shape to the outfit and add more detail, however, this is not shown in the images above.

This time the skirt is only one prim and spreads more widely from the hips, giving a puffy appearance and creating a nice shape to the dress itself. The texturing on this skirt section flows smoothly into that of the main section of the dress, leaving the wearer with a cute, girly outfit with a hint of elegance.

Fishy Strawberry Daphne Skin

Brand new from Fishy Strawberry is their very first skin, Daphne.

The skin,as a whole, is a very high quality with a nice tone to it and good detail in the muscles and definitions. There are nice realistic details, including around the knees and the stomach, allowing the wearer to have that realistic sexy look.

It comes with a variety of tones - Latte, Cappucino and Mocha - and each tone has a selection of makeup to choose from. The skin you can see in the image above is the Latte Fishy choice, the latte skin being the palest of the three tones available.

The makeup is pretty, with dramatic eyes and glossed lips. For me this particular makeup was a little too obvious for everyday wearing, however, it gave my avatar a sexy, striking look that would compliment my more colourful, or edgey outfits. Definitely something I would wear on a night out in a club.

Exile Hair

Since it's the time of the lagtastic Hair Fair, I thought it was only right to show you all some of my favourite hair from the show.

May I introduce to you the works from Exile.

These two hairs are my favourites from their collection. The one on the left, Exile Lindsay, was made especially for the Hair Fair and has just been released. It can be found at both the Hair Fair and the Exile main store and gives the wearer a funky, up to date look. It comes in a variety of colours, this being Plum from the Reds set.

The hair on the right is called Exile Dominique and comes with a customisable head band, with a variety of colours. Again, the one you can see above is in Plum and it gives the wearer a sexy, tousled look.

Both of the hairs needed a little fiddling with when I first bought them, either not quite sitting right on my head or needing resizing. However, this does not detract away from the quality of the prim work or texturing in any way and, overall, the hair from the Exile shop is of a very high quality.

Exodi New Summer Outfit

Coming fresh from the lovely Ryker Beck, may I present to you Exodi's latest summer outfit, Lilian Tanks and Nadia Shorts.

The top comes in five different colours, including pink, orange, green, aqua and yellow. There is also the option, as seen above, to have a patterned top or solid. The patterned top comes with a small patterned band around the chest area of the top. This band adds a little variation to the top and splits the colour up, framing the female chest area nicely. However, the solid top is also very cute, each of the colours being bright and cheerful, giving the outfit a definite summery look.

Both top options have a detailed lace section at the top and bottom. This lace sits nicely over the top of the shorts at the bottom and hides cleavage slightly, whilst still giving that cheeky feel of a low cut. The rest of the texturing is to a high quality, with realistic creases and shading and no obvious glitches or seams.

The shorts are dainty, pretty and girly. Coming in five different colours, all denim, they are very detailed and sit nicely at the top of your legs.

The texturing itself is very realistic with a nice creased effect nearer the bottom of the texture and a highly detailed zip and pockets. The five different shades of denim allow for many different outfit combinations and they fit smoothly with the Lilian tanks, each item complimenting the other.

Fishy Strawberry - Pailletes

This swimsuit comes in a wide range of colours, giving us the option to choose between Pink, Silver, Gold and Light Blue. The shape of the outfit is unique and complimentary, showing off the curves of the body and highlighting them.

The patterning and texturing on the swimsuit is highly detailed and well textured with a nice prim bow added to the chest area to give a little more detail. This additional prim work fits in nicely with the texture and gives the whole outfit a more sophisticated look to it.

Fishy Strawberry - Workers Jeans and BowlE Tee

This is definitely one of the more casual outfits that I have blogged but I love it!

The Top: Fishy Strawberry BowlE Tee

The top comes in a number of different colours, with a variety of different designs available. Along with the ones that you can see above, which are "Hooked" and "Funk and Trunks", there are also "Instruments" and "Smell my Sneakers", each of which have an individual design on them.

The texturing is of a good quality, with no apparent glitches and a nice crease detail at the bottom where the top meets the trousers. There is a daint prim bow on the strap which adds in some nice detail and gives the top a little more shape. The prim work and texture is good and compliments the rest of the top, fitting smoothly in with the rest of the textures.

The Trousers: Fishy Strawberry Workers Carpenter

These funky, casual jeans come with both a baggy option and a tight fit option - the ones in the image above are the tight option - and have an assortment of additional pockets for the side and back.

The texture is very detailed, sometimes giving the option for the texture of pockets that the wearer doesn't choose to apply the prim pockets to. Although they are meant to look like workers clothes, they also have a fashionable edge, taking on the look of boyfriend jeans with the deep pockets at the front and back.

Aoharu Beach Wear

My next summer range for you to see is from Aoharu. Providing us with a range of dresses and bikinis, Aoharu are making sure we have everything we need for those days out to the beach.

Aoharu also provides us with a variety of shapes, skins and hair. Above you can see the Aoharu Mina Shape, along with the matching skin in "Blue Snow". The shape itself gives the wearer a dainty, delicate looking face with long legs and lovely curves. It is quite a short shape, being shorter than my original which surprised me. However, in no way does it look frumpy or small, merely petite.

The skin has a very pink tone to it, and was a little darker than I am usually accustomed to. However, it is nicely detailed with a very defined stomach and nice a nice collar bone. The makeup is quite dramatic - with additional eyelashes also available - but also pretty, especially the one shown in the picture above.

You can also see the Mischa hair in Chocolate Brown which falls nicely over the shoulders. The primwork is good, with no obvious glitches and the band at the top is a nice addition. If there was one thing that I thought was missing was some customisation of the band with regards to colour.

Aoharu Drapery Dress - Brown

This outfit consists of a loosely hanging asymmetrical dress which falls nicely over the body. The texturing is very highly detailed with effective shadowing and a good effect on the prims. The prim sections themselves mold well into the rest of the texture, sitting on the bottom half and over the shoulder.

It is available in a wide range of colours and can be worn on its own or with trousers. In this picture you can also see the newest addition to the Aoharu shoes collection, Aoharu Ethnic Bijou Sandals in Opal. These sandals are fully customisable, allowing the wearer to change the tone and colour of the skin and nails so that they are completely happy with it. When wearing a face light it seems to cast an odd shadow on the feet, however, this seems to be fine at times when no facelight is worn.

Aoharu Flower Bandeau Swimsuit and Chiffon Blouse

This bikini is available in a wide range of different colours and has a highly detailed pattern on it. With each different colour option, there is also a matching chiffon shirt which fits nicely over the top.

The bikini itself comes with a couple of nice little prim details, such as the prim bows at the side of the hips and the neck piece which starts as a ring at the chest and loops around the neck. Both of these prims fit in smoothly with the rest of the textured outfit and add some detail that gives the outfit a bit of shape.

The chiffon blouse comes with several options, giving prim attachments on the arms, chest and back. The back prim follows the curves of the body well, and molds well into the rest of the texture. However, there is a slight glitch in that the body moves through the prim whenever a particularly hippy pose is taken.

Also seen in this image are the Aoharu SuedeLaceup Sandals in Cream, which are definitely my favourite part of this outfit. Coming with an option of having legwarmers or not, these sandals are, again, fully customisable with options to change the tone and colour of the skin and nails. The laces wind neatly around the leg and the optional legwarmer is light and airy, giving a feel of chiffon.

Exodi Summer Fashion for Women

Newly released by Exodi, this range of bikinis and unikins give you the perfect outfit for any summers day.

Exodi Maci Bikini

This beautifully textured bikini comes in a total of eight different colours and patterning, letting the wearer have a good variety of choices depending on outfit, as well as having at least one for each day of the week!

The texture itself is done well, featuring a high level of detail and no apparent seams. It gives the sense of a slightly shiny material that is used often in the making of swimsuits.

The shape of the outfit is complimentary and slightly cheeky. The top doesn't quite cover all of the chest area, giving a slightly risky feel and adding a little bit of cheek to the wearer. In a similar way, the bottoms show off the legs nicely, curving up over the hips so that you certainly show off some skin, but don't feel exposed.

Exodi Natalie Coverup

This is a lovely addition to the Maci Bikini, sitting over the top and covering from the chest area to the hips. It comes in a wide range of colours too, five in total, and features a sheer option for every colour.

The top consists of a delicate mesh effect, leaving the stomach still showing through slightly but still covering the wearer's modesty as much as any other top. One feature I loved about this top was the uneven bottom and how it rises up past the bikini bottoms on the left hand side. This adds a little interest into the top and makes it seem more natural, instead of sitting perfectly on the hips.

Definitely a firm favourite addition to any beach outfit.

Exodi Olivia Unikini

As a nice variation of a bikini, Exodi's new unikinis have two long pieces of material that connect the top section of the swimsuit and the bottom half. Although this does not cover up much more of the body than the actual bikini itself does, it adds a lot of style to the outfit, making it look funky and sophisticated.

It comes in a total of eight different colours, the one seen above in Black, with a variety of clothing layer options. In a similar way to the other two pieces, the texturing is very detailed and precise showing no signs of any seams or glitches.

I personally love how the strips go either side of the stomach, highlighting the tone in the stomach and curve of the waist. This outfit helps the wearer to look sexy and sophisticated whilst on the beach.

Malt Latest

May I present to you the latest outfit from Malt, and also one of my favourite items from them.

MALT Stitched Suede Jacket and Skirt

This is the latest outfit coming from Malt and gives quite a sophisticated look, whilst still adding in the feel of casual depending on the context. The outfit itself has good texturing with a wide variety of colours available, coming in several different colours including the one shown above, which is Manatee.

As a whole the outfit provides the user with a lot of variety and choice, presenting us with options for long sleeves, short sleeves and no sleeves on the top and the choice to have the belt and skirt seperate from each other or together. These extra prims fit well in with the rest of the texturing, adding a sense of funkiness into the jacket and following the shape of the body. The skirt prim is well made and is a good length.

The only slight problem that I found was that the torso showed through the jacket prim slightly whenever a particularly hippy pose was used. However, this never happened in the normal poses or whilst walking and so shouldn't pose any problem with everyday use.

A great outfit for a smart casual occasion, which compliments the shape of the body, giving the wearer a professional, feminine touch with a hint of sexiness.

Malt Bermuda

Although I don't usually go for this sort of outfit, I fell in love with this. It's a lovely two piece outfit which gives the options between a long boho skirt, leg prims and an additional necklace - which contains a handy script for resizing.

Again, there are a wide variety of colours available, including Spice Shaker, which is the colour shown in the images above. Each of these colours are deep, rich colours making the outfit look expensive and high quality. The texture of the outfit continues this feeling of high quality, being very detailed and showing no apparent glitches or seams.

The shape of the top in comparison to the low rise of the skirt results in a large amount of the stomach being shown off. However, this is done tastefully and the wearer still has a feeling of being covered up, although a lot of skin is being shown.

There are a couple of nice extra prim details, such as the necklace and the belt, each of which is highly detailed and fits well - both containing a resizing script for ease of use. The prim skirt section also fits smoothly in with the rest of the texture, bringing body to the skirt.

Definitely a nice outfit for a bit of a different look on a summer day.

Tropic Muism

Floatey, delicate and pretty, this dress is perfect for a day out in the summer. Here I show you some of Muism's latest summer clothes.

The Skin (Muism Chloe Pale - Skin Nude)

The skin is a little pinker than I am used to - choosing to wear pale skins for the majority of the time. However, I do like this one, growing used to the different tone in time and loving the smokey eye makeup. The lips have that lovely sheen to them that we all know and love and the eyebrows are shaped nicely to compliment the shape of the eyes themselves.

The Eyes (Muism Clear Eyes - Mix Gray)

I love the range of colours within these eyes. Although from far away they look ordinary grey, up close you can see a number of colours hidden within them, adding a little interest and a slight ethereal look.

The Hair (Muism Cheryl - Dark Golden Blonde)

Now I don't usually go for the taller hairstyles, and believe me this hairstyle gets quite tall at the back. The difference with this hair, however, is that it does it with style and quite subtly. It features good quality prim work and texture work, building up the texture and thickness of the hair and giving body to it. The shape of this hair is also awesome for pictures!

I love the colour of this particular hair. All of the hairs have an intense, deep colour which really shows the mark of a good quality hair.

The Outfit (Muism Tropic Dress/Swimsuit - Sea)

I thought this dress looked really pretty when I first saw it. It has a lovely colour and intricate patterning to it, with the prims fitting in smoothly with the texture. The only slight problem I found was that, when in certain positions, the skirt section would sometimes fall through the body and expose the hip or some skin. However, this can be expected with pretty much any skirt and is definitely forgivable. The dress comes in a wide variety of colours, giving the wearer ten different colours to choose from, including the one shown in the picture above, which is Sea.

Pididdle Summer

Want a colourful, vibrant new look for the summer? Look no further!

Pididdle has a range of clothes that are fresh, summery and girly. May I introduce to you my Pididdle Summer outfit.

The Skin (PIDIDDLE - Lien Pale - Feline - Freckles)

This is a very pretty, delicate skin. The eyebrows are slightly higher and rounder than I am used to but I still like them - they frame the eyes nicely. My favourite thing about this specific skin is the freckles on the cheeks, which adds a little interest and variety into the skin itself and adds to the feel of daintiness.

The tone of the skin itself is a very light olive, with the makeup colours complimenting this nicely. I love the smokey feel around the eyes that adds a little mystery and darkness. Although the makeup styles aren't all that subtle, each style highlights the eyes in unique ways.

The lips feature a good detailed texture with a nice shine to them, giving the effect of lip gloss and presenting a nice touch of shading between the lips to give them shape.

The Eyes (PIDIDDLE - Motion Sickness Eyes - Trueblue)

The eyes are a lovely deep blue, with a beautiful shine to them. There is the hint of a two tone colour to them, adding some interest and depth whilst still remaining realistic.

The Outfit (PIDIDDLE - Tunic - Turquoise)

The tunic top is made up of a good quality texture which gives the impression of a smooth, tight fitting bodice which compliments the shape of the female body. The shape of the tunic in general is cute and girly and the belt has lovely little details on it, showing a delicate buckle and shading. The prim section of the skirt fits smoothly with the rest of the texture and I love the shading at the bottom of the prim.

This, I feel is a very cute top which would bring out the girly side of anyone.

The Earrings (PIDIDDLE - Feather Earrings)

I absolutely love these. The feathers in the earrings are high quality and detailed, hanging nicely below the hair featured in the picture. The colours are effective, each standing out from the other yet still complimenting each other and looking realistic. Definitely a good buy.

Garden of Ku and G&G Combine

Looking for a more rock chick style that stands out and looks unique? Then these new outfit combos from Garden of Ku and G&G are definitely for you!

Garden of Ku and G&G Sacred Blood

This outfit comes with both the clothing and tattoo shown in the picture above. I love how rock chick this looks and it is definitely a look I will be exploring more in the future.

The tattoo comes with two different options, allowing the wearer to have it faded or medium strength, and covers the entire of the top half of the body, eventually travelling down the top of the legs. The tattoo that you can see in the picture above is the faded option.

The clothing itself comes with a good variety of options, giving the owner a choice between three different style of tops and three different trouser options. For me, the prims at the bottom of the trousers were a little too large and stuck out a bit too much, but as I wore them more I grew to like them. Apart from this slight discontinuation of smoothness with regards to size between the textured section and prims, the texture is high quality with no apparent obvious seams.

Garden of Ku and G&G Black Widow

Another clothing and tattoo combination, this outfit is funky and slightly more overstated than the other, having the option to show off a little more skin.

This tattoo also comes with different options, giving the wearer the option to have a faded, medium or dark tattoo on top whilst having only one option for the tattoo on the legs. The tattoo itself consists of sleeves up top, picturing Japanese Geisa and hearts down to the wrist. Then, on the back of the legs there are delicate markings which resemble flowers of Japanese writing.

The clothing, again, has several different options. The top comes with different levels of transparency and gives the option of having a heart image on the side. There is also the choice of whether to wear leggings underneath the shorts or not.

This whole outfit is entirely prim free with good quality texturing, meaning that there are no obvious seams or glitches to be seen.

Nyte 'N' Day's Summer Look

With the weather brightening and the days getting longer, I thought it was about time to show you some of the more summery outfits I have recently found in Nyte 'N' Day. May I introduce to you, Nyte 'N' Day Sum and Floret.

Nyte 'N' Day - Sum

The very definition of a sexy summer outfit, Sum comes with the option of wearing just the bikini halter top, or the coloured top over the top, bringing a shock of colour into the outfit. The outfit comes in a variety of colours (pink, lilac, blue, lime, yellow and apricot to be exact), all of which are bright, cheerful and perfect for a summer's day at the beach.

The texturing of the top is nicely done on all aspects of the outfit, with the sleeve linked to the main texture underneath the arm. The delicate white pattern that can be seen follows the creases within the shirt, making it look realistic and adding some interest into the outfit itself.

Nyte 'N' Day Floret

Continuing with the summery feel is Floret, a very short, slightly puffy dress with a nice lace detail underneath the skirt section. This time the colouring is more understated, coming in grey, olive, blue, teal, red and slate/ivory. This more subtle colouring allows the dress to be worn on more than just a summers day, but during the colder months too - being suitable for parties and events.

The whole dress is made with high quality textures with no apparent seams, especially on the skirt and lace section of the lower half. The prims fit smoothly in with the main texture, the ribbon being a nice way of hiding the join, as well as adding some character to the dress itself.

Overall, this dress gives a subtle delicate look,, for the more understated lady.

The Hair (Maitreya Knot - Dark Brown)

This hair is sleek and pretty with a nice colour to it. I like the way that the strands fall across the face with a choppy look. It is conveniently tight fitting so that it fits under hoods nicely. However, if you are looking for a hair with a more natural fall, this is not the one for you.

The Tattoo (GOK Tattoo - The Wired Garden)

I love how this tattoo seems pretty and delicate whilst having a slightly sharp edge to it. Hidden within the flowers are sharp spikes of wire which cover from your chest down to the lower pelvis, adding detail in the areas of the body that are mostly seen on display.

The Top (BI Cut Off Hoodie - Pink)

I found the BI shop today, along with this top, and boy was I pleased I found it! My favourite part is definitely the hood with the rabbit ears. The top itself is cut off below the chest, showing a cheeky amount of stomach. However, the bottom prim that comes to finish off the bottom part of the hoodie is a little bit bulky and sticks out a little too much for my taste but the sleeve prims and hood fit in nicely with the texture. The hood comes with several different options, giving an empty hood option - which only fits very tightly fitting hair underneath it - as well as two optional built in hairstyles. However, these hairstyles are not to my taste and do not suit my avatar, taking on a more oriental appearance with solid fringes. Another detail that I do like is that which can be seen on the ears, along with the fluff hanging down from the end of the ears and on the hood itself, making the wearer resemble some sort of teddybear.

The Belt (Maitreya Old Leather Belt - Black)

This belt is something that I have mentioned and shown a couple of times on this blog but have not reviewed. My favourite part is the curved detail at the buckle, and the fact that this is one of the best fitting belts I have found in Second Life so far.

The Jeans (Zaara Jeans - Jewelled Indigo)

I love the colour of these jeans, they are intense and pretty as well as having beautiful detailing around the back pockets and belt loops. As a whole these jeans are very detailed and the prims at the bottom fit smoothly. There are the options for several different styles of prim, including straight and wide fitting bootlegs, as well as the option for no prim at all.

The Boots (*EtchD* Black Bunnies)

Chunky, fluffy, cute and fashionable - these boots are the height of comfort and fashion.

The Accessory (TOAST Butters the Bunny Backpack)

I just had to fall in love with this little creature. A cute bunny in a backpack, the owner of Butters can choose whether he can always be seen, seen on click or never seen at all. There are also several strap options, giving large, medium and small sizes along with the option to have no straps at all. Definitely a vital addition to this outfit.

Exodi Shiloh

Brand new and out today I present to you the new skin by Exodi (formerly known as Genesis), Shiloh. In the picture above you can see one of the many options, in this case Exodi Shiloh Cream “Barely There”. Accompanying the skin is also the Genesis Snowlight Silk and Jewellery Set, along with ETD’s Ashley hair in Smoke and Maitreya’s Slinky Stilettos in White.

The skin itself has a lovely tone to it, seeming to have a more olive feel to it, rather than the slight pink hint to the others that I have previously shown you. The details around the stomach and face seem to be even more realistic than before, and the lips – you all know I loved the lips on Eden Gen2 for their shimmer – contain the same sheen to them, except this time with more detail and texture.

Again, there are the useful options of whether to have dark eyebrows (which come as standard) or light eyebrows as well as several different makeup options to choose from. Each of the different makeup styles has its own charm, each subtly enhancing the skin in different ways to achieve different looks.

The Drama Queen

Want an understated punky look that is still stylish?

The outfit above is a mixture of new and old clothing, put together in order to achieve such a look.

The Skin (Exodi Eden Gen2 Sugar - Rouge)

The brilliant red lips stand out against the darkness of the rest of the outfit, causing the skin to look even paler than it originally is. However, instead of this making the wearer look drawn and ill, the subtle use of blusher and smooth feel of the skin makes it into a more delicate porcelain feel. The dark eyeliner around the bottom of the eyes adds a little mystery which really adds to the more punky feel.

The Eyes (Genesis Elemental Eyes - Water Light)

The Hair (Deviant Kitties Brisby Brown Fire)

Again, the bright flash of red at the tips of the hair stands out nicely, making the hair look modern and stylish. The style itself is very long, reaching down to the lower back, with an edgy, choppy feel to it. The long fringe compliments the dark makeup around the eyes and allows for a rather broody look as the wearer glances through.

The Tattoo (Aitui Tattoo Peacock Feathers)

Although the tattoo cannot be seen very clearly within the picture above, it is made up of several monochrome peacock feathers running, from side to side, down the spine. This tattoo is quite simple and delicate, yet compliments the outfit by adding interest to the skin that is seen between the clothing.

The Top (Nyte 'N' Day Half Hoodie - Black)

This top is both casual and funky, giving the look of a normal hoodie but stopping just below the chest area. This means that the top shows enough skin to be of interest and make it unusual, but without going so far that someone may see it as indecent. As a result, this top has a slightly cheeky feel to it.

The Trousers (Dutch Touch Street Cat Torned Grey Jeans)

These trousers could almost be classed as long shorts. The slight tears in them are enough to look funky without being over the top and the prims fit nicely at the bottom of the texture. However, one problem I found was that the texture was only based on the underwear layer, with no pants layer option available. This meant that there was no option of putting a tattoo underneath the trousers and also restricted the use of general underwear.

The Belt (Maitreya Old Leather Belt - Black)

The Gloves (Dutch Touch Street Cat Grey Gloves)

I love the way these gloves effectively lengthen the sleeves of the half hoodie top, adding a funky stripe to the outfit with well fitting prims which bulk them out.

The Shoes (J's Real Toe 2WayShort Boots - Black)

A nice option for these shoes is the customisation that is built into them. Through the menu you can choose to toggle between open toed shoes and closed boots, as well as tweaking the colour of the skin and nails. The shoes themselves are quite chunky and modern, proving to be short enough to wear with cropped trousers.

The Party Princess

This outfit is definitely a girl outfit, giving the wearer a pretty delicate feel and proving suitable for parties of all kinds.

The Skin (Exodi Eden Gen2 Sugar - Fae)

The skin looks very delicate, with the flicks by the outer corner of the eyes making the eyes look longer and more elegant. Again, as mentioned in the previous blog post, I love the sheen on the lips which portrays a sense of lipgloss and also the colour seen above the eyes, which lightens them. Overall, the skin leaves the face looking bright and pretty.

The Eyes (Genesis Elemental Eyes - Water Light)

These are stunningly bright blue eyes with a nice clear refection in them. I find that the slight surreal lightness to them makes them more appealing, making them stand out and feel more unique.

The Hair (Maitreya Amy Chocolate)

Now I don't usually go for big fringes in hair as I feel it sits a little too heavily over the top of my eyes, blocking the light out. However, the fringing that is used in this hair leaves the bottom of the fringe feeling light and fluffy, allowing the eyes to be clearly seen. I love the shape of the hair in general, with the longer strands at the front as it compliments the shape of the face, framing the face whilst looking modern.

The Jewellery (Genesis Natalya Choker and Earrings)

One of the things that strikes me most about this set is the clear shine of the metal and the realism of the stones. The whole design in itself looks modern yet classy, allowing full customisation by giving options to change the metal and stone type. This, therefore, allows the piece to be worn with pretty much any outfit.

The Tattoo (GOK Tattoo46 Wings of Soul)

I love this tattoo for it's simplicity and beauty. As seen in the picture above, the wings span from just below mid back up to the shoulders and, although quite large, gives a delicate feel by keeping to an outline only.

The Dress (Gisaci Flexi Silk Organza Dress - Smoked Sapphire)

Cute, puffy and yet somehow elegant, this dress is a lovely deep colour with each prim intergrated perfectly into the design. The only tip I would give is that you need to fiddle with the height of the dress waist band and make sure that you place it correctly else the band sits strangely depending on the pose. Detail wise the dress is high quality with a lovely lace detail over the top of the skirt which adds a lighter touch to the overall feel of the dress.

The Shoes (Maitreya Verve Pumps - Blue)

My favourite touch to these shoes is the option base, giving you the option to wear just a plain blue sole or to have a small detail giving the size of the shoe and the make. This, along with the smooth joins between the prims, makes the Verve Pump look very realistic and the slightly lighter blue breaks up the darker blue of the dress and adds a little variation to the outfit.

Genesis Candace and Eden Gen2

This being my very first review, I thought I would show you two of the latest skins that come from Genesis, by the lovely Ryker Beck.

May I introduce to you Candace and Eden Gen2.

Genesis Candace

The skin that you can see above is Genesis Candace Apple Spring Reign. At first glance at this skin, it's slightly warm tone is apparent with a slight pink hue shining through. Each of the skins comes with different options for black, brown, red and blonde eyebrows, letting the owner match it up to any colour and style of hair that they are wearing at the time.

I love the makeup on this particular skin. The subtle smokey black eyes which add a touch of mystery to any wearer, along with striking red lips which lead to a sophisticated look overall. The touch of blusher on the cheeks compliments the highlighting along the cheek bones and face in general, making the skin look smooth and fresh.

The perfect skin for a sexy, sophisticated lady.

Eden Gen2 (released June 1st)

Above you can see the soon to be released Eden Gen2 Sugar Ressort. The sugar range of this skin has a much cooler tone to it than Candace, giving a delicate porcelain appearance. Again, there are options for different coloured eyebrows. However, this time the skin only features options for light and dark eyebrows - the dark eyebrows fitting well with either brown or black hair and the light more so with blonde and red hair.

The makeup is a little more obvious and perhaps dramatic on some of the versions of this skin in which the eyeliner is more pronounced, giving a slight flick at the outer corner. However, there are still the more subtle options as well as seen in the picture above, presenting a fresh, vibrant look that lightens the eyes.

One thing that I absolutely love about this particular skin is the sheen on the lips. The look of shimmering lip gloss is beautiful, complimenting the more subtle tone of lipstick.

This skin, particularly the one seen in the picture above, gives the wearer an elegant look, with the large choice of makeup options allowing the owner to experiment and achieve a beautiful, unique look.

Welcome to Second Thought

Welcome to Second Thought!

It has recently struck me how much enjoyment I get from creating and restyling my avatar each time I log on to Second Life, including the skins that I use and the clothes and hair that I buy.

And so here is the result of this revelation. My fashion review blog! Or at least my first attempt at one.

Over the next however many posts I hope to update you with some of the latest juicy items that I have come across in Second Life, giving you a rundown of what they are like and any pros and cons that I may come across. Your own comments and contributions are very welcome, I'll be interested in seeing what you think about each of the products.
